A musical, magical Saturday night to remember: Miss Camille O' Sullivan! (The lady with the red shoes. The hot dresses. The horse hed on stage. The blinking lights. The magic...) Last Thursday I boarded a plane to London to experience something I have waited a...

Every summer there is one sure trace of the autumn to come: the geese, who flies over the Øya- festial accompanied by any artist in focus at the moment. It is clear, it is cold and it is cosy, and it makes the season change for me to start doing all the nice things I...

Hm.. as you all probably know, things have been kind of blue the last weeks in Oslo. My love and compassion goes out to everyone who has been affected by the tragedy. When all of this happened I was planning to do a Bicycle Bonanza blog entreaty, but it kind of made no...

Ahh, summer, summer, summer. I don’t mind the rain or the grey weather. The last week of summer concerts are warming too much. Cliché? Oh yeah, but I am so happy. And grateful that I am doing exactly what I am doing! The concert in Kongsberg was such a treat. The rain...

Guro von Germeten

Guro von Germeten

Kaizer Orchestras creepy little sister, a female Tom Waits, Kurt Weill’s great grandchild, Kate Bush on Piaf- pills or the woman that brings a blush to Stephen King face: the Norwegian singer Guro von Germeten, and her little red accordion, stands out as delightfully burlesque with melodic boldness and French Second World War-ambiance. Her music never lacks passion, nor decadence, and her classically trained «crying cat in the night-voice» brings you every song, as was it her last in life; screaming, whispering or just by sounding extremely beautifully, all with a twist of Balkan beats, Circus jazz and a touch of Film noir. Remember: it is all about having Bad Dreams and Good Nightmares... (out on iTunes and Spotify now!)
